We are excited to announce the opening of our kids' mini library at Vidhya Sadhan, Valasaravakkam! This inviting space is designed specifically for children under the age of 10, fostering a love for reading and encouraging the exploration of new stories. The mini library aims to create a fun and engaging atmosphere where children can delve into the world of books, sparking their imagination and nurturing a lifelong love for reading.

Why Reading is Important for Kids

Instilling a love for reading in children at a young age is crucial for their cognitive and emotional development. Reading enhances language skills, promotes creativity, and builds empathy by exposing children to different perspectives. Our mini library provides a wide variety of storybooks that cater to various interests and reading levels, ensuring that every child can find a book that resonates with them. We believe that when children are excited about what they read, they are more likely to develop a habit that will benefit them throughout their lives.

How Your Child Can Enjoy Our Library

At our mini library, we offer two fantastic ways for your child to engage with books:

• Read On-Site: Kids can read the books in our center. This allows them to enjoy their favorite stories right away and return them before heading home, ensuring they always have fresh material to discover.

• Book Exchange Program: Children can participate in our book exchange program. By bringing one storybook to our center, they can take home a different book. This fosters a sense of sharing and responsibility, as we kindly ask that any book taken home be returned within 15 days.

Best of all, we do not charge any fees for the use of our library! Our goal is to provide free access to wonderful stories and make reading accessible to all, regardless of background.
